What is a payment review?
A payment review is a look at how your business takes payments, what you pay today and what you need from your setup. SU Payments starts from your actual numbers and workflow, not a one-size-fits-all headline rate.
Who is SU Payments for?
SU Payments (Systems Upside Payments) is an online payment processing provider for businesses that get paid online: online stores, memberships, digital products and service businesses that collect payments remotely. In-person point-of-sale systems are not part of what it offers.
Can I use SU Payments with my existing platform?
It depends on your platform and its payment-provider rules. Tell us which website, store or community platform you sell through, and the available setup can be reviewed. A native integration should never be assumed.
How can I track ACH payments?
ACH payments are payments from a customer’s bank account. Review each one’s details and status in the ACH transactions view, then follow deposits, returns and recorded disbursements in bank activity. A payment marked Processing is not yet settled funds, and merchant limits and processing times apply.
Will switching automatically save me money?
Not automatically. Savings depend on your current pricing, transaction mix, volume and the proposed payment terms, so a fair comparison uses the full cost of processing. The calculator on this page illustrates your current cost; it is not a savings guarantee or a rate quote.
What happens to my existing subscriptions?
Moving recurring payments needs its own review. Platform rules, payment tokens and your existing billing setup can affect what can move and how, so plan the transition before you change your current payment workflow.
How does SU Payments price card payments?
SU Payments offers interchange-plus, tiered and flat-rate pricing, or a flat rate plus a per-transaction fee. A monthly platform fee applies for the software and payment platform. Every rate is set after a review of your statement.
Is there a contract, and what does it cost to cancel?
Yes. SU Payments accounts use a one-year agreement. If you end it early, the early termination fee is $35.
Is there a setup fee?
Most businesses pay no setup fee. Larger implementations are quoted upfront, before you sign.
How much do ACH payments cost?
ACH payments are priced as a flat fee per transaction or as a percentage, set after a review of your statement. There are no per-transaction caps or minimums. The ACH return fee is $15.
What is included at no added fee?
Invoicing, hosted payment pages and payment links, email payment requests, recurring billing and the virtual terminal are included at no added fee. So are reporting and the dashboard. A monthly platform fee applies for the software and payment platform.
Which businesses can apply?
US-registered businesses accepting US card payments can apply for an SU Payments account.
What is an effective rate?
Your effective rate is your total processing fees divided by your total sales volume, shown as a percentage. It counts every fee, not just the headline rate, which makes it the clearest way to compare what you pay.
What is an ACH payment?
An ACH payment is an electronic payment between bank accounts through the Automated Clearing House network. With SU Payments, you can collect eligible ACH payments from your customers’ bank accounts and follow each one in your reports.
What is a chargeback?
A chargeback is a card payment that is reversed after the cardholder disputes it with their bank. In SU Payments, the chargebacks report lists each one with the reason it was submitted.
What is the difference between a void and a refund?
In general, a void cancels a payment before it settles, so no money moves, while a refund returns money after a payment has settled. Which one you can use depends on each transaction’s eligibility and status.
What is a virtual terminal?
A virtual terminal is a web page where you type in a customer’s card details yourself to take a payment, usually over the phone. With SU Payments it runs in your web browser, so you do not need a card reader.
Can I create my own reports?
Yes. Custom transaction views let you build your own reports and schedule their delivery by email. Separate views cover card and ACH transactions, scheduled payments, email activity and card batches.
Can I refund or void a payment?
Yes, when the transaction is eligible. The card transactions view lets you void or refund eligible card payments, and the ACH transactions view lets you void eligible ACH payments. What you can do depends on each transaction’s eligibility and status.
What does the bank activity report show?
The bank activity report shows recorded deposits, returns and disbursements. It is a record of activity, not a promise of when funds arrive and not a tool for sending transfers. Processing times and merchant limits apply.
