Who we are
SU Payments (Systems Upside Payments) is an online payment processing provider for businesses that get paid online.
This website, supayment.com, is run by Systems Upside LLC, a business based in North Carolina, USA. In this policy, “SU Payments,” “we,” “us” and “our” mean Systems Upside LLC.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website, what you send us through its request form and what you tell us when you call the phone number it lists.
It does not cover payment processing or other merchant services. If your business applies for or uses merchant services, the information involved is governed by the separate agreements and privacy notices you receive at that time. It also does not cover other websites, including any this website links to.
Information we collect
What you tell us by phone. When you call, you may choose to tell us your name, your business’s name and how to reach you. You may also tell us how your business gets paid, such as your monthly volume, the payment methods you use and what you pay today. Beyond what you choose to tell us, our phone service may log the number you call from and the date, time and length of the call.
What your browser sends. A hosting provider delivers this website. Its servers receive what any browser sends with each request: your IP address (the number that identifies your internet connection), the address of the page you asked for and your browser and device type. Your browser may also send the address of the page that linked you here. The hosting provider may log this technical data to deliver the website and to protect it from abuse and attacks. It may also ask your browser to send it a report when a page or file fails to load, with the same kind of technical detail, including the address that failed to load.
The calculator. The calculator works in your browser. If you follow its button to the payment review page, the calculator’s four figures and how you sell travel in that page’s web address, so the page can show them back to you, and that page’s link back to the calculator carries them the same way. Like any web address, it reaches the hosting provider with the request and stays in your browser’s history. The figures are not sent anywhere else.
Partnering with us. If you ask about becoming a referral partner, by phone or through the request form, you may tell us your name, your company, how to reach you and your website. You may also tell us the types of businesses you work with, roughly how many you could introduce and how involved you want to be.
The request form. When you send the request form on the payment review page, we receive what you entered in it. For a payment review, that is your name, business name, email, phone, monthly volume range, how you take payments today, website or platform, current processor, preferred day and time and any notes, with the calculator’s figures and its estimate if you came to the form from the calculator. For a referral partner request, it is your name, company, email, phone, website, the types of businesses you work with, roughly how many you could introduce a month, how involved you want to be and any notes. With either, the form sends the address of the page and when you sent it. Nothing you type is sent until you press the send button.
The spam check. When you start filling in the request form, your browser loads a check from a security service’s website, which helps confirm that a person, not an automated program, is sending the form. The service may process technical data about your connection, browser and device, such as your IP address and browser signals, to run the check. It doesn’t receive what you type in the form. When you send the form, our website asks the service to confirm the check and passes on your IP address. Most people never see the check; if it needs you, a box appears above the send button.
No cookies, analytics or tracking. This website sets no cookies, stores nothing about you in your browser and uses no analytics, advertising, social media or tracking tools. Its pages, fonts, images and scripts all come from this website. The one exception is the spam check above: your browser loads it from the security service’s website, on the payment review page only, once you start filling in the request form. Apart from that check, your browser loads nothing from any other website. Some browsers can send a signal, such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, asking websites not to track you or sell your information. This website doesn’t track you, and we don’t sell personal information, so those signals have nothing to turn off.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- answer your call, your request and your questions;
- prepare a payment review you ask for, go through it with you and follow up with you about it;
- evaluate a request to become a referral partner, and manage the referral relationship with you;
- keep a record of our conversations with you;
- deliver this website and keep it secure, including finding and stopping abuse, such as spam sent through the request form; and
- comply with the law and protect our rights and the rights and safety of others.
We don’t use your information to show you ads on this or any other website, and we don’t give it to advertising companies.
How we share information
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising, also called cross-context behavioral advertising (advertising based on what you do on other businesses’ websites and apps). We share information only:
- with service providers that help us run our business, so they can provide those services to us: the hosting provider; our phone service; our customer relationship management (CRM) service, which receives what you send through the request form so we can respond to you; and the security service that checks the form for spam. The hosting provider may also use technical request data to run and secure its own network;
- when you ask us to;
- with another business if we merge with it, are acquired by it or sell it all or part of our business, which must then handle the information as this policy describes;
- when the law requires it, for example to answer a subpoena or court order; and
- when we believe in good faith that it is needed to protect our rights, to prevent fraud or to protect someone’s safety.
How long we keep information
We keep what you tell us by phone or send us through the request form only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, such as answering you, preparing your review and following up with you. We keep it longer only when the law requires us to, or when we need it to resolve a dispute or enforce an agreement. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
The hosting provider keeps its technical logs, and the security service the technical data from its check, for the periods their services set.
How we protect information
This website is built to collect as little as possible. It has no accounts or passwords, and it is delivered only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, which is also how the request form sends what you enter. Its security settings tell browsers to run only this website’s own scripts, and on the payment review page the security service’s check, and not to let other websites display its pages inside theirs.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us by phone or through the request form. No website, phone line or storage system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise that information will never be accessed, lost or misused.
Your choices and rights
You choose what to tell us by phone or through the request form, and you can use this whole website without telling us who you are. You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy of it, correct it or delete it. We’ll do what you ask unless the law requires or allows us to keep the information, for example to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute or enforce an agreement, and we’ll tell you if that’s why. You can also ask us not to contact you again.
US state privacy rights. Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you rights over your personal information. These can include the right to know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy, to correct it and to delete it. They can also include the right to opt out of its sale, its use for targeted advertising and its use for profiling that leads to decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you. We don’t sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or profiling. You can still make any of these requests, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.
How to make a request. Call us at 919-338-6283. We’ll ask for enough information to confirm who you are before we act on a request, and we’ll respond within the time the law requires. Someone you authorize can make a request for you if we can confirm you gave them permission. If we decline a request, you can appeal by calling the same number and saying you want to appeal. We’ll tell you our decision and the reasons for it. If you disagree with it, you can contact your state attorney general.
Children’s privacy
This website is for businesses. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, call us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other websites
This website may link to websites run by others. We don’t control those websites, and this policy doesn’t apply to them. Read their privacy policies before you give them information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or the law changes. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change would let us use personal information we already hold in a materially different way, we’ll ask for your consent first.
